Im currently playing the first one and I cant say Im enjoying it that much. I dont dislike it per say, but it just isnt clicking with me. The combat is fluid yet feels really unfocused. It feels like most fights are just spam witch time until you win.

Compared to DMC this just isnt doing it for me.

See, it's interesting, I felt like the witch time really gave a focus to combat that wasn't there in DMC. I had a better idea of what I was "supposed" to be doing.

I played Bayonetta and DMC5 within a couple months of each other for the first time this year.

Play it on Infinity climax because it doesn't have witch time

I prefer 1 over two, but mainly because of the music and settings.

i liked it more after the 3rd or 4th boss

I thought it was more fun but a lot of fans who are really deep into the genre prefer the original.

Play on a higher difficulty if spamming witch time feels like it's working. It's harder to spam on higher difficulties. Also learn to dodge offset because that's where a lot of Bayo's depth lies.

I personally think 1 is a bit better than 2 but they're both remarkably solid character action games.

I prefer the first game because it has the better hairstyle.

2 is a much better single playthrough experience, but a worse game to play at the highest difficulties and going for ranks. In Bayo 1, witch time is disabled in the highest difficulty.

I've played 1 a couple times now and it was so much fun for me. My first playthrough was very casual (easier difficulty and all that) and my second I went for more of the harder stuff and enjoyed that too. I definitely recommend you go for 100%/higher difficulties if it's not clicking.

Started 2 and never finished it/went back to it closer to when it first came out on Wii U but I definitely need to get back into it and 3 as well when it comes out. The combat was just super fun to me.

The first 2 Ninja Gaiden games have the best hack n' slash combat.

Will say the soundtrack fucking bangs though. That theme that plays during the motorcycle section I know its from another Sega game but I cant place it. Ive heard it before.

It really does improve on an already perfect game

The combat is so fun, I love how the game is designed, and it gives Bayonetta a much better hairstyle this time around than her thimble-head hair in the first game. Now she has a sassy librarian look that fits her character perfectly.

I'm still struggling with witch trials though and I definitely can't beat the super tough bonus superboss even with those youtube videos so if anyone can beat them for me please
