Played the first Cyberspace level in Sonic Frontiers. I'd heard these were super short, and that was definitely the case! It does have a good sense of speed so far, and apparently, you can upgrade Sonic to go even faster, so we'll see what that's like!

Okay, I've played a couple of hours of Sonic Frontiers, and it's really fun. I wasn't sure if open world Sonic could actually work, but if the rest of the game is like this, I'm convinced.

Yeah, Sonic has a lot of lore to keep track of, including the comics and the cartoons, especially since you have conflicting info there.

But this does seem to indicate they want to get back into serious storytelling again with the games. I've heard Frontiers has a lot of lore in it.

Playing some more Sonic Frontiers. Can't really describe it, but there's just something really fun about doing all of these little challenges to keep opening up the map. The Cyberspace levels are fun speedrun challenges, but someone please tell Sonic Team to remake other levels besides Green Hill, Chemical Plant, and occasionally Sky Sanctuary once in a while.

Andor Episode 10 complete!

What a fantastic episode. I expected nothing from this show, and it's the best thing Disney Star Wars has put out aside from Mando Season 1 and Last Jedi.

Finished the first island on Sonic Frontiers. I'm sure I'll go back eventually since there was still plenty to do, but I don't think I can just yet. First major boss was pretty fun and a cool spectacle, which is what you want out of a good Sonic boss.

Chaos;Head Noah Update:

Reached the first/common route ending. I knew most of the big twists from remembering the anime when I watched that leading into playing Chaos;Child way back when but one that still got me and I thought was cool was that all the scenes focusing on the other characters were literally witnessed by Takumi using his powers so once he fully awakened to them he could access the information from them.

Currently speeding through with skip mode to see the alternate delusion scene results by taking the other options before I go for the other endings. Some of them are really good. Negative delusions on the whole seem like the best but some of the "no delusion" scenes are excellent as well.

Definitely heavily doubting these PotD results. Iirc it wasn't until gen 4 when event Pokemon were widely distributed, and at that point there were almost 500 Pokemon (I myself got 150/151 in gen 1 and 491/493 in gen 4, and then probably like 80-90% in all of the other gens).

I got 150 in Blue and that was it... I think. I likely got very close in GSC but I can't remember for sure where that ended up. I don't think I made it to 250 or whatever it was then but I can't quite rule it out.

If we're counting Mew though to make RBY 151 then I never got there.

Now to hope the Packers don't beat both of my favorite teams in the span of 4 days

Oh yeah, it's almost time for the World Cup. I'm not sure how much of it I'll pay attention to this year, especially since it's running alongside American football.

It is kind of fascinating following along with how much of a disaster Qatar hosting has been and is going to be. They don't even have to pretend to care about appeasing their visitors. They literally decided two days before the first match that they actually won't be serving alcohol in stadiums after all. What a troll move.

The traffic will probably kill Twitter too so they can care even less because how much of it will even get out now?

Yeah, it stayed quality to the end. I do wish it focused a little more comedy, since the humor's generally better than the serious/romantic parts, but I don't think it ever had bad sections. Ishigami and Miko continuing the "love is war" thing was dumb though.

Finished the second island in Sonic Frontiers. Felt like the game really opened up with this one, although sometimes it does get confusing to navigate and you're not sure if this is somewhere you've already been or not.

Second boss fight theme somehow goes even harder and I'm all for it.

Such a good show. I'd say this is a show you can enjoy if you're not a big fan of Star Wars or even if you haven't watched it at all. It doesn't really depend on knowing anything else about the series, and it's relatively grounded for a sci-fi show. It's basically Star Wars for adults.

Pretty good VN but definitely not on the level of Steins;Gate and Chaos;Child IMO. Better than Robotics;Notes though, I think. A little disappointed in how short the character routes (and true route which wasn't really a route at all) were, but oh well. Sena and Ayase's were probably the best of those. Sena because she's the best and also because the chat with the Committee of 300 was some of the best/most tense intrigue in the game and Ayase's because it just became metal af at the end lmao. Rimi's not bad either because more Shogun content always great.

Characters: Sena > Shogun > Ayase > Kozue > Ban > Rimi > Nanami > Momo > Takumi > Norose > Yua > Misumi > Suwa > Hazuki

Or something. Sena and Shogun were excellent. Ayase a small step behind them. Kozue is just a really fun and fascinating character. Ban through Norose/Yua is probably the next tier. Suwa and Hazuki not great.

Next up probably Trails from Zero because while I think I want to replay Chaos;Child now I don't know if I want to go back to back on that. That Utawarerumono interquel with Oshtor snuck up on me and actually just came out the other day but I hear it has some bugs like disappearing text and stuff so maybe I'll wait for a patch but the real reason is I kind of want to pray for a console release (even though it's highly unlikely we'd get this far with no announcement of one) because like Library of Ruina my computer is technically not meeting the minimum requirements but push comes to shove I might see if it works anyway.

I saw a launch trailer for a game called Finding Paradise that looked really interesting. I did some research and found it was a port of a game made in 2017, and it's the sequel to a game called To The Moon. Both games are highly praised for their stories, and they're basically sprite-based visual novels (they were made with RPG Maker). I decided to purchase To The Moon, so we'll see how it goes!

I feel like how much a person like Chaos;Head depends on how much they like Takumi, so having him in the lower half isn't a good thing, heh. I only played the original, though. Shame to hear the new routes they added with Noah don't add much to the game. I remember liking Kozue the most of the girls.

Persona 4 and Chaos;Head spoilers: I believe I played CH right before P4, so I immediately guessed Adachi was the villain due to his similar role to Suwa...

I didn't hate Takumi but I didn't like him either. I know he isn't particularly meant to be likable but I feel like I'm usually still pretty receptive to those kinds of characters but he still bounced off me for the most part.

Playing a little bit of To The Moon. This is definitely an interesting concept for a story.

My jury duty saga has ended.

Was initially asked to report on Monday like 3-4 weeks ago or whatever. Was selected but the jury wasn't full yet so was told to return on Wednesday (selection would continue on Tuesday) and the trial would start.

Show up Wednesday. After waiting in the waiting room over an hour past the report time they announce that something came up and today was cancelled and to come back Monday.

On Friday get a phone call that is "actually forget that. Don't come Monday. We'll call you again on [today] and on that call we'll tell you when you have to come in, but it'll probably be the following Monday."

So here comes today and that phone call. "Actually we don't need you at all. Your service is complete. Happy Thanksgiving."

Well, that was quite the ride.

Random observation: I wish shows in syndication wouldn't only show holiday episodes around that holiday. Some of the best episodes in any sitcom are holiday episodes, and you only get to see them if you happen to tune in on that day.

Man, what a great show. Don't know if I'd say it's better than Mandalorian Season 1 overall, but what a triumph this show turned out to be. Can't wait for Season 2.

I'm still enjoying To The Moon. It's really interesting how you figure things out by working backwards.

I'm about 20 chapters into book 12 of The Wheel of Time, and I must say I'm impressed at how much it still feels the same despite the change in author.

Yeah, Sanderson does an excellent job imitating Jordan's style for the most part.

Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special complete!

Fun little Christmas movie with some good humor and some nice sentimental touches, too. Most of the Guardians don't get much screen time, but I feel like they make the most of it.

It's pretty fun! I've played this and the two Hyrule Warriors games for Musous, and this is definitely the best of the 3, thanks to being so heavily RPG-ified.
