I mean they could've made it more accurate timeline-wise and only introduced Elendil and Isildur in later seasons.

Well I hate to bring up race but is Isildur white in this? Looks mixed. Elendil looks a lot like the Isildur from the LotR flashbacks.

Lol whoops. Well I guess just having read The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales recently, my mind keeps having to jump through hoops to get this to all work. I can enjoy it more if it's its own canon. At this point I'm half expecting Isildur to have a baby and it's Aragorn lol. Arathorn was just an alias for Isildur, and the Third Age is only 87 years long.

Besides a few character and place names, pretty much nothing is drawn from the source material, this is all a brand new story. Im not saying that makes the show bad, but trying to predict what will happen in the show based off what happens in the established lore is pointless

Umm...pretty sure theyre building up to the events of the end of the second age. How will they do it is up to them.

But they've already switched up so many things given the timeline...

Its a totally made up character, no one has ever emerged from a meteor. Probably gonna end up being Gandalf though

People think the Meteor man is Gandalf? Didn't the trail of the meteor kill things in it's path, like the leaves that fell in the elf city? And the fireflies die when he used them?

It's Sauron.

Gandalf is the logical answer, as he was an angelic being sent to Middle Earth around this time, who had famously good relations with Hobbits.

Which is exactly why it's probably not him, since it seems like they're being deliberately vague on the matter.

The whole dead fireflies thing is weird and I'm not sure what to make of it. It doesn't really make any sense for this character to be Sauron (though I kind of love how the show is playing around with the idea of "who is Sauron" so much, it was a great choice for such a mysterious character famed for his deceit).

If I had to throw out a guess it's either Saruman or Gandalf, maybe leaning Saruman. It could also be the Balrog.

I don't think it's going to be a blue wizard just because nobody cares about them. It wouldn't carry any weight. But I could be wrong.

Gandalf came in the Third Age. Sauron doesn't make sense because it seems like a pretty risky thing to do with everybody watching the skies.

Now that we know how the timeline is working out, it's becoming a bit more apparent it's likely gonna be the second Blue Wizard and that he's probably looking for his buddy, the first. They arrived in the same year the One Ring was forged.
