Actors have a hard enough time landing decent roles under even the best circumstances, so getting a gig where it's pretty much guaranteed you'll making a film per year until you either majorly fuck up or retire/die is hard to resist. Most actors are only going to get to be in one big franchise as the lead guy, that's just the nature of the job. Dwayne's are the exception to the rule.
