My nearest Walmart is 45 minutes away so I don't go there very often

But every time I do I see things for sale at a fraction of the price I'd have to pay to get it closer by

It might be a shit hole but I see why people like to shop there

Like for example I got an entire pint of EVOO for $5 when at the mom-and-pop grocery store a tiny bottle of that stuff will cost $12

It being called a shit hole is always exaggerated. Unless you single out certain areas. Which, you can do that for any major company. I literally never been to a Walmart that is anywhere near close to accurately described that way. It's starting to come off as a very "pick me" thing to say. Actually, I could argue standing up against people against Walmart could also come off as "pick me". Eh, that's a stupid term

The downside?

You have to go inside a Walmart.

They still have those 99 cent Arizona teas for 78 cents while other places are jacking them up to $1.29

If you can go way early in the morning or late at night.

There's almost nobody around then except for the employees.

So you can just grab what you need and head to the self checkout without having people barreling through thin ass aisles in both directions with nowhere to squeeze yourself

I shop at Walmart all the time. At least in my area, the Walmart is in better condition than the Target. So a better shopping experience for less money is a win for me.

I went inside a Walmart once and never came back out. Still there to this day lost in a sea of savings

They sell pita chips for like $6 when other places have them up to $9. They used to be $5.

They also sell switch games for $50 instead of $60 because Walmart is just good people I tell u whut

I love near a farmers' market, publix, target, and walmart. I don't know why anyone goes to Walmart unless everything else is closed. Buy stuff on discount at Publix is cheaper than Walmart and the farmer' market has better general prices with fresher food. Even buying offbrand stuff at Publix is similar cost.

I used to live in a food desert and I'd just buy rice and basics from Walmart and everything else from the dollar store.

It's cause they are. It's people trying to convince themselves there's atleast one subset of people they'll always be above. When really, if they stopped being such judgemental assholes, they would look those people in the eye and realize tge majority of them are pleasant and just there to shop and get on with their lives like you are. They're not the anecdotal moments online where someone is throwing a tantrum or letting their kids run wild. But, those videos help them feel above everyone who enters a Walmart....right beside them.

Then some do it just cause it's fun to hate on big corporations. Which is fine. Just leave the people out of it.

I normally don't really mind going into a Wal-Mart, but since they're strictly anti-union and I used to work there I always feel bad for the associates working there. They are just not very accomodating and underpay a lot. They even got rid of yearly raises, at least at the one I worked at.

be careful with what you buy at Walmart. remember, there's a reason they can sell stuff cheaper and that's often because the product is of lower quality. name brands will sometimes even make special (cheaper) versions of their products just for Walmart.

My local Krogers are just as bad as Walmart, and sometimes even worse. The prices are jacked up and Ive seen instances where there were so many customers that lines wrapped around to the back of the store and there were no shopping carts available.

They buy everything so fast that there are always people trying to frantically stock the shelves. They also put these advertisement displays in the aisles, which are already too narrow for two people to fit without squeezing past. One thing I like about Walmart is that they have wider aisles (no fat jokes, Im 140lbs).

Well so it the quality so you can keep buying the same thing multiple times to "save money."
