is this rude or na?

i dont fly often. There was this woman on the plane with a very aromatic lunch.

is it common courtesy not to eat full ass meals on planes, to avoid filling the cabin with random odors?

doesnt really seem that different than making everyone listen to videos on your phone, full blast without headphones.

People gotta eat, and it isn't against the rules to bring food court meals on the plane.

As expensive as airport food courts are, I liked to bring on a sub sandwich atleast.

Bringing food from the airport onto the airplane is rude!

Seriously, like why can't you people just eat before you get on the plane. Or when you get off the plane at your arrival city? Most domestic flights aren't that long. Not hard not eating for 4 hours

Like the rest of us shouldn't have to smell your spicy garlic wings while we're all packed in a tin can. Nobody should be subjected to your Panda Express 10 rows away.

While some of you may say, well they serve food on a plane. That's fine. I have been on 16hr flights and eaten breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the plane. It's fine because we all get served the same food at the same time.

Also small snacks, crackers, and candies are fine. Because they don't stink up the whole plane. But next time eat your cheeseburger and fries in the airport!

I think burgers and fries wouldnt be too aromatic tbf

in general, i think its common courtesy to avoid bringing "smelly" foods into enclosed areas with others. this applies to airplanes, office spaces, or anywhere else.

need to eat your meal on the plane? totally fine. but order a sub, not fish curry.

things can 'follow the rules' but still be rude. like taking off your shoes on the plane when your feet have the stank. or ripping major farts.

Trueeee. Like would I be more comfortable wearing flip flops for 4 hours instead of socks and shoes?

absolutely

would people be forced into smelling my feet?

absolutely

common courtesy goes a long way, as long as it remains common

Ripping ass making everyone endure your shit particles isn't the same as scenting the air with food people might not like. While I'd agree bringing fish or curry is a bit much, most airports don't have that as an option.

Look at it like the plane lotto. Sometimes you get stuck next to screaming kids or smelly bastards, sometimes you get the hottie who smells pleasant.

A lot of people cant sit through a 2 hour movie without a giant tub of popcorn smothered in 2,000 calories worth of butter, and 2 days of sodium.

Why don't those people just eat a meal right before going in the plane? Reminds me of people that sneak in food to a movie theater, when they could had chicken wings right before going in.

Sometimes lines are long at check in and/or security and people don't have time to sit down before boarding. Also not the same thing as sneaking since you can bring anything you get at the shops and restaurants from the terminal on the plane.
