Long story short, our chat began by me saying I was anxious due to not being tired but having to work early in the morning. When I told her I start at 9:30am, she instantly goes off on me saying her day will be done by then and then says I have zero sympathy for you.

To this I reply by saying I have 13 hour work days split between 2 jobs and work in the bartending and service industry, not everyone has a standard work day.

She then accuses me of being defensive and ends the chat. Lmao. Im used to older folks being judgemental about weird work hours, but when it comes from someone your own age its a major turn off. God, people are so fucking weird.

I think you misinterpreted the exact style of shittyness she brought to that interaction. Her work day is far from standard if she's DONE by 9:30 am, and if anything opening through dayshift is closer to "standard". She likely works graveyard, also possibly long af shifts. So she's not criticizing you for unconventional hours, she's needlessly trying to 1up you with an even more unhealthy work/life balance.
