it would be better for corporations, because they wouldnt have to pay any employee taxes and they wouldnt have to provide any benefits to people

I dont know why they havent done this yet

I think they will still find office workers are people in white-collar jobs if they made everyone independent contractors

its working just fine for Uber and Doordash

they still get employees

I dont see why banks or tech companies cant do this too

The developers for uber and doordash are very likely not independent contractors, unless their tasks are divided into discrete completeable tasks. Contractors have a very limited legal definition.
