i dont get it. Kratos is supposed to have killed all these gods, but the combat is so difficult for regular enemies.

some zombies lurchs toward me and it takes me a while to kill it. some ghost witches pop up and i struggle to figure out how to kill it.

Is it trying to be like Dark Souls or something? i don't feel all powerful and shit.

eventually i gave up because once i wasn't having fun. story seemed cool but it was a slog to get through normal battles.

Sounds like it's time for you to retire from video games.

I wouldnt call it an easy game but its no where near Souls difficulty

Yeah I think that game is meant to be played on the easiest difficulty to fit the narrative

I got bored of it too though

I haven't played it either. Might give it a chance some day, but walking around as Old Kratos with his kid doesn't exactly sound as intriguing as the old stuff.

Its way better than the old god of war games

I like it until it gets to the Lake. Then it feels like a chore.

This. If at any point "shouldn't this be a cakewalk" or any variation of that pops up, you're not gonna have fun with anything else. Take Skyrim for example. Shouting should make you untouchable. Don't really care about that.
