Im liking the Pokmon, but most of the trainer designs are not very good sadly. So far nobody holds a candle to Bea or Nessa or even the Sword/Shield female avatar

You don't like the Icy soft boy? I stan him. Everyone else is either bland and without a distinct personally yet or their design and character goes way too far in the opposite direction like this latest abomination.

I said it in private to a friend and I'll say it here again: Fuck Iono and the Zebstrika she rode in on. Y-U-C-K.

Bellibolt is friend-shaped and pretty friggin' sweet though. I wish someone- anyone else had done its introduction.

SwSh leaders are insurmountable, but the game squandered them so there's some spite there.

These gym leaders have been more out there, but I think they're mostly fine, though the professors suck.

The big issue is that the theme of the region and the theme of the trainers are 100% unrelated. I feel like there was a pretty consistent UK feel to most of the leaders and trainers in SwSh. This is supposed to be Spain pokemon, but we have...a virtual idol, a femboy in a huge coat for a cold climate, and....whatever Penny is supposed to be (I think that was her name)?

Eh, outside of Kabu, who is just football guy, and Leon, who is football guy with endorsements, Im not really sure what is particularly UK-esque about anyone else. I dont think Pokmon has ever made any real attempt to make their gym leaders fit the region much.

Everyone thought ice boy was a girl at first lol. This Gen Id say the best designed humans for this so far are Nemona, Mela and Professor Sada and none of them are as great as the best Sword/Shield ones. Most of the dudes look stupid too other than Professor Turo

Well, yeah, but most of them had a more generic look with it, or a personality that didn't match. Kabu and Leon are the two that are very blatant. The rest just look like they're wearing a non-descript sports uniform.

Not really feeling Bellibolt. I think it's mostly the color scheme I find off-putting.
