I want to make a game about a story I wrote, but haven't got the motivation to learn unity. It's about a MC who's lived in a computer simulation for millions of years, and every time he dies he reincarnates with his memories. He's now split into multiple people and they formed a higher order that's secretly trying to destroy the world and escape the simulation, so your job as the MC is to stop him. That's what the first song is about, he's been alive for so long he's lost all semblance of morality, but he's also a dangerous manipulative genius and cult leader. People tell me it sounds like NiN. Mostly just play it by ear. I'm probably really held back by how I have no formal education writing music. It also really would help if I had a guy who specialized in mixing, synthesizing sounds, finding parts that don't work, adding ideas. That's probably why it takes more than one person to make a good modern song. I'm best at coming up with the over-arching structure, kind of bad at filling it in, so my songs end up taking a totally different direction than what I envisioned. So if I want to make a song it ends up sounding kind of techno because all the soundfonts I have access to sound mostly techno.
