Started reading this manga the day it first came out and it's my favorite manga now. Collab effort between Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama) and Mengo Yokoyari (Scum's Wish) for story and art, respectively. Anyone new to it should know it's best to read/watch the prologue blind, only knowing it's darker in atmosphere and delves into the darker sides of various media industries.

I'm over the moon excited for this, and we'll be getting more anime news on December 11. Hopefully a release date other than the current vague 2023, but we'll see.

I was curious how they would adapt the series since I didn't want them to rush the prologue in 2 episodes but this is fantastic news.

Nothing wrong with casual! There's a big up-and-coming idol named Ai, and two hardcore fans of hers die and are reborn as her twin children who she has to hide from the public, our two protagonists. They grow up going into the idol and acting industries. Despite the baffling premise, it's best to think of it as a mystery/drama that focuses on the darker aspects of the entertainment world like idols, acting, stage shows, reality shows, and the manga industry.

For real. I was kind of nervous how many would bounce off if they left it with a standard 23 minute episode lol. Many won't know if they dig it or not until the first ten chapters, which this 90m time slot can now do and leave a better first impression.
