Its not a gun problem. Its a mental health crisis. People would just use knives like that vegas killer who went around stabbing people. Maybe less deaths but still mentally ill driven stuff. Or what about that 82 year old man just enjoying his taco bell and some random kid comes in and stabs him in the neck?

So... the most important metric gets better?

Obviously, treating the underlying mental health issues is also important, but implementing measures to mitigate the harm in the mean time (and even after mental health care gets to where it needs to be) is still a very good idea. At the very least, a waiting period for every gun purchase does wonders for reducing these risks while causing virtually no other harm (except possibly to arms manufacturers that like when people make impulse buys, but they can go fellate a cactus on their third yacht while they cry about not having a fourth).

My grandpa use to work in a pig slaughtering factory sun up to sun down. 10 hour days and sometimes worked saturdays leaving just sundays off. He never complained about his job.

Kids now a days cant even work at McDonald's. All they do is bitch about not having anything and blame history for their short comings.
