Between being tired / hungry all the time and my wife treating me like I'm some kind of fragile porcelain doll, my gender dysphoria is the worst it's been since I was a teenager. I hate feeling vulnerable and feminine.

Also the fact that I'm carrying the child of my best friend since literally we were in kindergarten... It's brought a whole bunch of emotions I'll be more than happy to get rid of once this kid is out.

I don't like feeling this way. I should've been born a boy. And now I'm in maternity pajamas having an emotional breakdown.

That's just hormones talking. You'll feel back to normal when it's all over.

Sorry to hear how rough it's going for you. It was very selfless of you to do that for your friend despite not (seemingly) being that thrilled about it.

That's why it always makes me scratch my head when repubs try to claim that women are aborting babies at 9 months. It's like, "you honestly think women are subjecting themselves to an extra 5 months of backaches, headaches, hot flashes, cold flashes, having to pee every ten minutes, and a hormone storm-fueled emotional rollercoaster just because...........reasons?

As I recall, it's because TC's partner has bad bits.
They've been trying for awhile, in a state that's not very friendly towards that sort of thing (Oklahoma, I think)

I'm glad I could never get pregnant, but I don't know that being born male was ideal. Gender is a gray area for me but I've never wanted and never will want kids regardless. I know that you do, and it's just the pregnancy element that's getting to you, but I get where you're coming from and while I can't directly relate, I can understand how much of an internal conflict it must be (pun recognized but not intended -_-). Hopefully your wife can improve her support. I remember you talking about how she really didn't want the shoe to be on the other foot. Don't let her forget that, and if the two of you want more kids, maybe remind her with something like "your turn next time? >_>" if she is too critical of you, even if that's never gonna happen... just like, as a reminder.
