Ive always wanted to make one of these topics and oddly enough I cant remember anyone else making one like this on CE. Im sure its been done before but flew under my radar.

Anyway as for me, I first visited this site to look up cheat codes as a kid, particularly for Goldeneye and Tony Hawks Underground 2. This was around 03-04ish. In 2005 I made an account and frequented the Smackdown vs RAW 06 social board to discuss wrestling, as I was unaware of the PWB at the time.

I forgot the password to that account in record time and it wasnt until the summer of 06 that I made another account, which I shared with a friend (this account is still active to this day lol, It took years for me to realize that account sharing was against the ToS).

Then in 2012 I finally decided to branch off and make my own account.

boards? maybe then, but i have no memory of it. Definitely no later than the end of September 2001. I was on 408 from almost the very beginning.

account? i either made one for the above and forgot about it after making this one, or else i lurked for a year before i finally found a reason to post.

I first visited this site when I was around 6 or 7ish years old, after seeing my older brother use it. Back then this was one of the very few sites that was actually credible to any degree iirc.

I think I made my first account around 2000-2001. I didn't really use it much until around 2002, or whenever mgs2 came out. I didn't do much on here except for the game boards until around the time mgs2 came out.

I've spent way too much time here, honestly.

idk late 90s prolly for jrpg guides. i know i used faqs for star ocean 2 item synthesis, and that came out in 98. i dont remember when i made my first account, but it got banned for having a censor bypass in the email address

2005, wanted some Vice City cheats or printed out a Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness walkthrough, idk which was first.

It was around early 2002. I was into Dragonball and learned online there was a lot more than what was currently out on american TV. I saw people discussing plot points I had not seen yet on some internet forum. GameFAQs forums kept popping up in these discussions so I decided to check out what this website was.

That account got banned in late 2004 for bumping a really old topic on some obscure board that was on ~450 posts and apparently sacred to some nerds up to 500 posts rapidly as a bit of fun

Must have been early 2002. I came here looking for help on the Grand Theft Auto III board. I stayed there for a while before migrating to other game and social boards. I think my first social board was LUE.

2001 - Birthed my first account to post on Perfect Dark Social.

1996, when I first got on the computer at school and found out that walkthrus existed. Breath of Fire 2 and Final Fantasy 7 _really_ needed walkthrus to find everything. Made my account almost as soon as the beta registrations opened up.

What I think emerges most clearly from this is how fucking old we all are.

I had been coming to gamefaqs since 99 or 2000 didn't make my account until 2006 because I wanted to post on a CoD board.

First visit? Idr. I used to look up cheat codes for ps1 and ps2 games so id likely have stumbled on this site at least a few times in the mid 2000s (didnt freely browse the web till 2004 so have that as a starting point).Hard to pinpoint the exact year tho
