No real point customising your look unless you like playing in photomode tbh.

Romance doesn't matter that much to me, but I do like the Judy character over Panam design-wise so I guess I'll go female. OK, I won't spend too much time on making the character since I usually spend an hour on those lol.

To reply to your response to me in the previous topic: I don't know how it'd go in terms of that game specifically, but I mean, I'm on a 6700HQ with a GTX960M and I'm still at least able to run everything I'm interested in (which to be fair, isn't usually AAAs, the closest to that I've tried was Oddworld Soulstorm which did have slight frame drops in some places) at 1080p 30fps on high settings, which I'm happy with. So that's gotta be at least a carrot, right? And yours is a step up from that...

Can't wait to update though, just waiting for a Ryzen 6800U device with 32GB RAM to be available here from a brand that's not Lenovo... don't even need a dedicated GPU, the iGPU in that is still an upgrade from the 960M.

Well surprise but this thing can hardly run it on high settings, everything is choppy af. Had to turn it down and now it looks like a PS4 game. Oh well.

Also npcs are rude, telling me to hurry up with my dialogue choices. I wanna think about my answer!

That said I love the atmosphere already.

Night City is a cool setting but the sexual ads plastered everywhere make it feel like the movie Idiocracy at times.

The female voice is objectively the superior choice.

Just like real life, I hate driving. I thought one of the game's criticisms was that the city was so empty so why are there so many citizens in car-hitting distance. It's true that the cops just appear out of nowhere tho.

Generally they mark secondary objectives like that on your map most of the time. I think that's how I found Brick and the computer you use to get him out of the cell.

Also, I am like 50 hours into the game past that and Brick never popped back up, lol. Unless it's some side quest I haven't done.

Go to the world map and your apartment should be marked on there. If it isn't, try flipping through the icon filters.

He's not important to the main story, no. He's relevant to a different side quest, but not essential.

There should be a filter on the map, so you can see the apartment easier. I'm assuming you already know that you can change equipment from the inventory and you want something out of storage.

Brick pops back up if you save him but it's a side quest from a character you don't get introduced to until way later in the game, so much later that I wouldn't be surprised if most people made it to the point of no return and never got to that string of characters. Also it's not a remarkable cameo, saving Brick makes the future gig so much easier and makes a unique weapon missable.

Ah, I'm already too far from to go back to an older save to save Brick.

I knew the Arasaka job would go sideways but not that badly! RIP T-Bug. Especially RIP to Jackie. He was likable choomba.

I'd say wait to finish Act 1 so you have access to the full map before doing sidequests - sounds like you've done that, so you should be good.

Driving sucks though, stick to motorcycles.

Get familiar with the skill tree and know what 2 attributes you want to be overpowered in and max them out ASAP. My first play I did a jack of all trades build where I evenly distributed my points among the five categories and I was serviceable in everything but I'd get focused on one player style for a good chunk of time and think "Fuck I should have just maxed this one out and I would have been able to do THIS" but once they're spent they're spent. They max out at 20, so when you get to level 50 the most you'll be able to have is three 20s.

I'm about to redistribute my own points because I didn't have a build in mind in particular. But edge runners makes me want to do a proper one. I'm only level 12 so it's not a big deal, but still I'm deciding if I want my V to be like Lucy or Rebecca. Don't see a ton of utility to use tech in combat though. Maybe I'm trash but I'm not seeing much damage inducing abilities in the game yet.

Honestly it launched in a horrible state on modern consoles. You had a solid experience on PC and a decent-ish one on PS5/Series X but they were nowhere to be found for most people outside of scalping so most people didn't get that. But people hold onto grudges for years in gaming. Like to this day there are still people mad at Mass Effect 3 for example.

Most people won't see beyond the launch and will insist that fixing the game now does nothing to earn forgiveness or respect and that's just how people are, can't be helped. Cyberpunk is a damn fine game if it's what your looking for and I'll always stand by that.

Misty will never become romanceable (without mods at least) and the Delamain missions are GREAT. I dreaded them on my first play through and when I got to the end the payoff was great. Some of the funniest moments in the game.

A question regarding side missions: Do the ever change their status of High/Very High etc.? Like if I leveled up more, would they still say High or go down to Low? Trying a "High" mission right now aaaaand it's kinda kicking my ass.

Yes as you level up their difficulty changes. I think around level 40 is when they have no difficulty marker.

I played the Epistrophy questline last night and when I got to the Coastview one, IT. KICKED. MY. ASS. 4 gangoons with assault rifles just spraying their bullets from all directions and nowhere to hide. And I get taken down in 1-3 hits. Usually I can kill 2 of them before the other 2 come up behind me and finish me off. Is it possible to handle this at level 8 or do I gotta come back to finishing this quest later? I have 4/7 completed already.

I don't have many choices in what side quests I can do. They're all High/Very High status. Where can I find some Moderate or Low ones? I'm close to paying off Viktor.

Police Scanner missions are pretty quick and easy, as long as they're "Assault" or "Reported Crime". The ones that are "Organized" usually play out closer to full gigs where you got a master gangster you've gotta take out and they're equipped with cyberware and depending on life path there's alternate routes you can take. Plus there's cool lore to be read off of shards and computers and whatever.

But yeah just grinding out all the Police Scanner missions in Watson gets me to around level 20 before ever doing the Heist. And I pay off Victor.

Ok so I met a guy wearing no pants and holding his crotch begging me to get him to a ripperdoc. Not the craziest thing in Night City. So I try to take him but halfway there he says he can't, gets out and his dick explodes.
