Always sat at the bar, and had nice conversations with the bartender as well as other diners. Heck yeah...that's really what those places are for and they do it ok. It was cool because after a while, sometime, if the bartender saw me come in, my beer would already be waiting for me by the time I sat down at the bar. It was totally a Cheers vibe.
