It's been about a year since I first took a chance on it - or unearthed it after eternities of scraping away random spots in a desert as I like to dramatically misremember - and I still hold my first playthrough in very high regard.
When I conceded that I was out of things to do and went to beat the final boss for the first time, I remember thinking I'd just given something great permission to slip through my grasp.
I do regret it but I'm really not sure how I was supposed to keep it from ending by then. Having that level of investment in a game after that long was incredible. Even if it only lasted a short while.
