If there's anything I learned about these beyond meat stuff, most people can't tell the difference imo. I've done soo many times when I claimed something was a beyond/impossible meat thing and people start complaining, only for me to throw the receipt to their face showing they ate normal meat. The only people that were able to tell the difference that didn't fell for it, are people who has a belly larger than life normally. All anecdotal, but I'm always down to try new stuff.

I'd try it, but I haven't found their other products so far to be overly appealing.

For context here, I'm a lifelong vegetarian and there are several fake meats I do really like; Beyond Meat just isn't one of them.

Vegetarian options have gotten really good recently. Im not even a vegan. Learn to cook it right and try it, its really nice and doesnt make you feel like a fat slob afterwards, either.

There are about 170 calories in a quarter pound of 93/7 beef. 220 calories in a half pound of chicken breast. It is definitely not the meat that makes you feel like a fat slob after eating a meal.

Only thing holding me back from plant based meat is the cost, it's still not very commercialised in my country yet.

So I can't see myself paying more for an imitation product when I can get the original at a lower cost, even if the imitation is better for the environment.
