its not the fact they own the designs, its 100% their right. Its just the weird we dont agree with Kanye, but we need him so were gonna just take his name off all his product and keep producing it

That's not weird at all. They don't want Kanye's name associated with them anymore, so rebranding makes perfect sense. Why would they just scrap the designs and all the other work they put into the shoes?

Last year, $2 billion of their revenue came from Yeezy's. Of course they're not going to just set billions on fire. They're still a business lol.

But it still shows that they had an issue with Kanye's comments. Cutting him out of the picture hurts them. A big part of the interest came from the fact that Kanye designed the shoes. But now they can't lean on that anymore and their profit is definitely going to drop.

because this has never happened before any other time deals have been broken/ended the company didnt instantly announce they where gonna continue to make them.

when Kobe died, nike didnt need Vanessa to keep making them and they probably would of keep making them regardless.

Celebrities having shoes is a marketing thing anyway. It's not like he was working under Adidas for years as a shoe designer. I doubt he did anything more than say "I like this one" when given a bunch to choose from.

thats what it used to be like, but Kanye is pretty well known for having a hand in all the main designs, even if he didnt directly design them.

like the 10 or so staple Yeezys. All came from a direct collab effort of hand pick by ye adidas designers (most of which where former nike designers) and Ye himself
