listen.

it's very dear to me.

but it has no good levels and no good bosses. what it has is a bunch of decent to excellent half-written characters, a couple absolute banger all-time GOAT characters (Aldia, Lucatiel, Vendrick), phenomenal atmosphere, and Gavlan

i just got off a run without upgrading it. as a ranged only mage.

I still have a hard time getting over that you need to kill the four inheritors of the Lord Souls just because your character can't jump.

Also I hate the fact that Scholar of the First Sin is the only version available on modern hardware cause SotFS is genuinely ass compared to the original release. Resultingly I rarely if ever play DS2.

Yea some of what scholar changed is downright silly. i appreciate everything in one neat package but some of the item placement changes and mob placement, enemy removals, and those dumb extra branch statues really annoy the crap out of me. thats all i remember offhand, havent played vanilla since like 2016
