Car insurance is so stupid.

My car got hit n ran about a month ago and I talked to the guy today and he's saying that if someone were to go around the car after the hit with a baseball bat and damaged it, the comprehensive insurance would kick in (which I have a lower deductible for), but as it's listed, it's just a hit and run.

I'm now thinking I should've changed my plan first, then file the claim, then pay the least amount of money, then change my plan back, and save money monthly. So dumb that it works like this. Punished for being consistent/honest.

I mean, yes, you do get more money when you commit fraud.
