German doctor Andreas Niederbichler, 45, was sentenced to nine years in prison in 2019 for his role in the death of his 38-year-old lover. The woman, who was only identified as Yvonne M., overdosed on the cocaine that he placed on his genitals and suffered shortness of breath before collapsing.

The court rejected his defense that Yvonne knew he had put the cocaine on his penis before she performed oral sex.

He was ordered to pay the equivalent of nearly $13,000 (11,500) for the medical bills from the failed attempts to revive her.

He was also ordered to pay the woman's funeral costs, as well as compensate her husband and son.
