I fear my state PA, will outlaw abortion, and then a national abortion ban will occur.

I didnt watch the PA debate but Im seeing a lot of dems say Fetterman did pretty poorly. As close as most polls have been that doesnt bode well. :(

Im possibly too optimistic, but I think Id the republicans win big they will mostly just dink around and prevent Biden and the democrats from accomplishing anything to make their next President bid easier, but Im hoping they dont do more than that. >_>

Lots of close races, its nerve wracking. Im not looking forward to JD Vance being my states senator.

That they'll require everyone to carry a minimum of two guns on them at all times

That they'll replace all of the minimum wage workers with guns

The most immediate concern is for trans people, but the broader concern is the effect they'll have on democracy.

This, which rouses my bigger concern of having to abandon pacifism.

You need 60 votes in the senate and Biden has a veto pen. Republicans will get some wins in the budget, especially if Dems dont raise the debt ceiling before 2023, but thats about it. If anything this will help Ds in 2024 because now Biden can blame congress for things going wrong, especially w/ a bad recession hitting in 2023.

I bet Biden gets impeached in the House in 2023 tho

Overall? Continuous rise of ultra conservatism leading to less rights of lbgqt community and trying to make abortion illegal nation wide. As for strictly myself as a white, straight man...worried that they will enable more laws that would see government programs fail due to budget cuts using the deficit as an excuse.

I fear for women and trans people I am a trans woman. It's personal.

America has changed in decades. Hell, its changed just the last 10 years. Republicans are trying to turn this country into the nation from the Hulu show Handmaid's Tale

I'm part of three different demographic groups that conservatives (and especially the MAGA crowd) hate and I'm stuck living in a red state without the finances to be able to move to a blue state. I'd be afraid for my own life if the Republican party got into significant power again, on top of my concerns for our country and democracy as a whole.
