I was thinking about this earlier today with the James Gunn news.

It honestly did feel like more fun and that more care was put into it than any of the MCU shows. I think Wandavision and Loki are the only ones it can go against.

Is he the one played by john cena that had very cool bullet that can kill people and a toilet helmet. I mean did he came up with all those cool gadget himself or did he have someone that makes that kind of weapon like his neonazi father who blamed him for the death of his brther back when he was a child. So what are we fighting? Are we still fighting threat from outside earth like aliens maybe. At least no more alien that can hojacked people's mind like starro did in suicide squad. So who he was tasked to kill this time?

Gotta say Daredevil now that its back to canon.

Better than most, for sure, but not all.

I'm not one of those "mature = more better!" annoying types but I have to say The Boys and peacemaker was by far better than almost all the disney+ marvel content. Amazon's superhero stuff in general has been more entertaining so far, although s3 of the boys faltered a bit it was still more entertaining than the cookie cutter stuff disney has been quickly churning out in their show making factory

1 scene in peacemaker alone was enough to make me go back and actually watch the suicide squad even though I had no intention of ever watching a dc movie let alone a sequel to garbage. And I was glad for it, movie was great, and show is even better.

Even Moon Knight, which was a TV-14, was a huge miss. The issue is the MCU shows plays it WAY too safe and cookie cutter. Many of them start out with an interesting premise and always tends to end in a CGI fest. Too many MCU shows miss the landing with the finale. Peacemaker, Invincible, and The Boys all manage to do new things with the Super Hero genre to the point where every episode always felt like something interesting or unique was going to happen in the next episode and would always deliver.

I also hear a lot of good things about Doom Patrol, which is what I'm going to check out next. I would put Umbrella Academy in there, but I'm not sure if that show is considered a Super Hero show or not.

The low quality marvel shows are what happens when you both play it too safe and try to release an excess of them like a factory.

TV-14 is still teen(family) stuff... all the amazon shows mentioned are TV-MA which is a huge leap from TV-14.

i mean remember the big fantasy show where there was like full nudity every other episode? that's TV-MA.

Hmmm, yeah Id probably say it beats all the Marvel shows. Peacemaker is really great. Hard to compare shows to movies, Id probably put a few MCU movies above it but it is definitely top notch.

All of the Marvel live action shows tend to be lacking in at least one way but I thought Peacemaker landed all of the beats perfectly. Great lead. Great episodes. Great ensemble cast. Great pacing. It was just all good.
