We talk about this service a lot here. And I was wondering why do people here us them. I use to use them in covid before I lost my house. I have weak immune system so I didn't want to leave the house. Now that I have a new place I still don't like going out. But I now live in the sticks. So not many places to work with. Thus I stopped using it. Also in my old place Parking was an issue .so that was another reason for using it .

Sometimes Im drunk and cant go pick up my food.

I never use it, I'm perfectly happy picking up my orders

There's a grocery store a few miles up the road, and I've got a pretty decent freezer in the basement.

Non driver. I cave when they send me those 40% off deals or I have the flu or some shit.

Only time I use it is when Im at someone elses house and they suggest it.

Otherwise I just pick up the food myself

I use them because there are nights we want takeout and it's a pain in the ass to take 2 small kids and get them ready just to pick up food

I've used one of them once just to try it when I was in DC for a couple nights for work. I got some Cheesecake Factory to my hotel.

At home though I have never used it and don't plan on using it. Plus I live in a really rural area so there isn't much to begin with. If you try to get an uber where I live it can be tough because drivers don't want to drive out here.

I usually only use it when I can't easily get it myself. Like when I don't have time to stop for something on my way into the office, I'll order a quick breakfast.

Rarely use it at home. Did it once to order Shakey's Pizza while my dad was visiting (he likes to watch my son play). Didn't want to load my son in the car, just to drive there and back.

Costs too much and if my order is wrong, I feel like it would be on me.

I never use them. In the event I'm too drunk/lazy to pick food up myself I order from a place with an in-house delivery service like Jimmy John's or most pizza places.

I do DoorDash 2-3 times a week, because I dont like to cook and I can afford to use it

I don't use it because I like to drive to the store or pick something up in person. Also a little bit nervous to since I never have before. <.<

I'll only use it if I get a big coupon. Otherwise, it's too expensive. Most places charge more for menu items, then there are service fees and delivery fee, then tip.

I used to use Instacart back before I had my license, when it was too hot to walk to the store (so basically the entire summer). I work a tech job from home so cost wasn't an issue. I haven't used it much after getting my license though.

Eating out is pretty rare for me anyways so I've never felt the need to use other apps.

Non driver and im financially comfortable enough to do so. My time is worth more than the cost of the service. Still, I try not to often because I'll get fat.

Pure convenience mostly, but I don't use them all the time.

When I'm in DC I just cook .I make sure I have place to cook. Since all the places I would go to failed health inspections lol
