Places like North Pole, Alaska where Christmas decorations are up year round and the McDonald's has a candy cane as it's sign, or places like Roswell, New Mexico where everything is alien themed and the McDonald's is a UFO. Shit like that.

Would like to know if there's others.

Not specifically, it's just that when you find these kinds of places through Google, the wacky local McDonald's is always one of the first things that comes up.

I've been to Roswell and North Pole so I know what you mean. One place that comes to mind is Helen Georgia, it's a town that resembles an old German town.

Tombstone as well.

Lol when I first looked this place up I was like "This looks pretty normal", then I entered Valentines Day with the name. Good call lmao.

Yep, also a good one. My old college roommate would nerd out over this.

I'm flying into Boston on Monday for a work event which they brilliantly decided to do at a hotel in Salem.

They had to book out a hotel outside of town and we all have to commute into there.

Helen looks awesome! I knew about Tombstone and I'm going to Arizona in the Spring but I'm not sure if we'll have enough time to go :( We have a similar place in BC called Barkerville, except prospector based instead of old west.

I went to North Pole as a little kid but I don't actually remember. But there is a family video of me with a bunch of other kids listening to Santa talk

In WA state there is a town called Leavenworth. It's all about tourism with a gimmick. It pretends to be a German town. And yes I think the McDonald's looks special too. But I forget how

I used to live in WA and went to Leavenworth over the years. Usually at Christmas time

But I haven't been in years

I've only been as far as Auburn so that's a new one for me, and close by to boot. Looks like it's near Wenatchee, which I do know about because they have a ridiculously good junior hockey team there lmao.

Edit: Looking it up, yeah, Bavarian McDonalds. Dece.

Maybe not exactly what you're looking for, but North Bend, WA was where Twin Peaks was filmed so the cafe leans into that.

At least three of these setups mentioned in this topic lol. Guess the US loves it's Bavarian architecture spots.

This is a good one. Building's kind of give an Assassin's Creed vibe IMO. Also, that's quite a name.

I don't think they lean into it nearly as much as the other places mentioned in the thread, like I said until I added Valentine's Day to the search it just looked like an average Colorado town.

Still have yet to see this show sadly. Was a little before my time, but I do want to watch it someday.
