Meaning if you spend the money in this lifetime you will be broke in future reincarnation lives because you took the money or equivalent from there. If you don't believe in reincarnation then just pretend for the sake of this.

How many future lives? If I have 50 million future lives, it's not a big deal, I'd donate to the cause

So wait, if you don't spend it all in your current life your future lives will still have access to it? What if you turn that 50 million into even more money and don't spend that either? Will your future lives see that benefit?

Thing is, your brain can't truly process worrying about future lives because you are dealing with the life you have right now. Of course any sane person would take the offer.
