he's the third one ive checked out and he's fucking lousy man. his media literacy is shit. he has no fucking clue what objectivity is and throws out "objectively" like mr. burns throws fish on fishmas. he sounds like Jordan assPeterson. god this dude is bad. like even worse than Joseph Anderson, and that's saying a lot

Off the top of my head the only one I hate watch (even if rarely) is average joe. He's picked a career path of talking to people, and he's so bad at it that he has to do each sentence as an individual take and then stich them all together. It is very annoying and I cannot respect his work.

This topic reads like a copypasta, but a really good one because "like Mr Burns throws fish on fishmas" is a deep fucking cut and I appreciate the hell out of that.

And yeah Noah Caldwell-Gervais is based. Joseph Anderson is a bit too dry for my liking, I like that Noah keeps errors in his narration because it helps emphasise that he's a dude who just really loves taking about games.

Never seen Luke Stephens so I can't judge. Either way, really enjoyed this post.

I've seen a few Anderson videos and enjoyed it.

Update: yes this guy is the plagiarist. he also strikes me as a gamergater but it's just a feeling i have. nothing concrete

hah, thanks bud. Noah's videos feel so human and digestible. he's quite clearly an intellectual guy but the way he presents his information and arguments makes them so easily understood. and i can always see where he's coming from, even if i don't agree.

and at the end of the day, it just makes me happy to hear him talk about games he *really* ended up liking and being passionate about. Especially Red Dead, Soulsborne, and Resident Evil

I like Joseph Andersons videos , they are chill to listen to.

Yep, though he did at least take the video down. Or at least he did once HBomb made the video about how Luke was plagiarizing him. If anyone wants to check them out (because every one of HBombs vids are a banger), they're Hbomb's vids about Bloodborne and plagiarism.

Noah is great, but I think he can suffer from the same issues Anderson does, where sometimes the videos are just way too long. 7.5 hours is just too long for a video, even if its for every RE game and otherwise really good.

Id watch one thats a lesser known property to get a feel for what makes his analysis really unique before seeing how he interprets popular media, my favorites of his are Darkwood, Pathologic 2, and Rule of Rose. With Darkwood and Rule of Rose being two that Ive watched countless times each.

His stuff really reminds me of Camus writing style, where its in the manner in which everything is connected that the true story is being told; rather than contained merely within the language used. Like you really find out WHY these stories NEED to be told.
