This means that many advertisers will pull their ads, at least for a while (for example: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/400-current-events/80213774) , he will lose money. It is likely he will never recoup the 44 billion. He is so screwed, right? No. Again, No. This purchase was not about money. This is about ideology. Now trump has his platform back just in time for 2024. Misinformation, propaganda, and most importantly, hate speech are back. Twitter is now a hybrid between fox news and 4/8 chan. This is Bannon's wet dream. This purchase was not about money. This purchase is about the alt-right getting what it needs to achieve everything they ever dreamed off. Trump, Thiel, Bannon, the mercers and everyone who lent money to Musk to make the purchase are rejoicing. Save this line: Twitter will put its finger on the scale in 2024, helping conspiracy theories and wikileaks-style hits on the democrats while suppressing (yes, moderating) "leftist biased" tweets. Can you imagine the impact a platform saying that "Biden/Newsom/Whatever Democrat is a blood-magic spirit lizard who feeds on umbilical cords and wants forced gender reassignment surgery on all good evangelical babies so he can bring forth the new world order that will ban Christmas and white people", considering the mentality of said "moderates and independents"? --- So post.
