Read that title. I don't need a deterrent, I need a solution. Something that STOPS the problem. I'm unable to work or relax at my home due to my cat's obsession with it, blocking the view and/or pawing at it. Whenever he does, i've done something. Sprayed him with water, made PSST noises, put up cat spikes, tried two brands of cat repellent and a thing of compressed air that goes off if he is nearby. These will deter him for a few seconds, but not for long. He will be back before i've had a literal goddamn chance to sit down and have a single bite to eat. I don't like putting him into time outs, but it's the only effective method i've encountered that works. IS there anything more effective for the both of us? You can't do anything about it. My cat's the same. They're annoying like that. The only thing that works for me is a citrus scented spray but I don't like doing that as my cat's not doing anything malicious. If my door is closed she will make this unbearable noise as if she's in pain, and the second I open the door she immediately runs into the room and starts chewing on wires, swatting her paw at the TV, and going behind it, thumping her tail back and forth between the TV and wall. ...
