Low-key I was way more immersed in the first AC than any other. It was by far the most subtle and subdued one. All the others got so silly with their guns, bombs, brotherhood mechanics, etc.

I just wanted to be a lone assassin working for the brotherhood going on cool missions.

AC1 was actually my favorite, although AC2 was almost objectively the better game.

It was basically a proof of concept game. The gameplay was ass but the "go anywhere, climb anything" gameplay has become a staple of many open world games

1 was my favorite setting but sadly the game was too basic to do it justice. I really hope for a remake someday. The Crusades is a very cool setting. But it was unlucky to ne the first in the series before they got good
