Thinking about selling my TT for something with 4 doors, but I'm finding most of what the big three German companies have on lot isn't equipped the way I want it.

Anyone ever bought a car with an online builder? Doesn't have to be luxury, just in general I'm curious what the experience was like. Cheers.

Do you mean used or new?

If new just go to your dealership and tell them that you want to build one and they can walk you through it and get it shipped to the dealership with dealership perks.

Like I said, I've never done it that way before so I'm just curious what the differences might be.

It ultimately needs to be ordered through a dealership anyway, so it'd just end up with the info you put in being sent to the nearest dealer to help you do that.

My parents tried this with Subaru and they got really weird about it. The salesman was clearly trying to push whatever they had on the floor to make a sale that day.

No, emm effer. If Im dropping that kind of money, youre going to customize it down to the last detail and youre also going to deliver it to my house. They got the one they wanted, but the point is that the dealership might try to talk you out of what you want in order to move stock.
