No because Pokmon hasnt interested me since the ds games and the new ones arent very good imo

Admittedly, my backlog is so big I only care about the main story/game, once Im done with that I dont do much most game unless the main game itself captivated me to play it more and more

Yep, day one. I just hope it is better than vanilla Sword/Shield and especially Legends Arceus(Which shouldn't be hard at all and is almost 100% gauranteed).

I've lost any real hype/desire to play since gen 7 because that's where it feels like they really started phoning it in, and gen 8 took that to another level. The only Pokmon game to catch my attention in the intervening years was the spinoff Legends Arceus.

Spouse still wants to play it though, so we'll still be getting them and I likely will dabble in it, but I have my doubts they'll ever really hook me again like with gens 4-5.
