I've never had a package stolen but I do worry sometimes. Someone in my building had one stolen recently

If it's coming through USPS you can ask for it to be marked "HOLD FOR PICKUP" or something like that

Happened to me before amazon really doesn't have an issue sending out a replacement of you explain the situation to them. I suggest getting an amazon locker or P.O. Box.

Both times it said they handed it to the apartment receptionist. We don't even have a receptionist.

thats almost worst in terms of how it can go wrong. They need to put the key in your mail, and often times they get that wrong and then whoever receives the key just tosses it in the trash. my friend had a package held hostage in an amazon box for over a month, they were demanding she pay for a new key to be cut because the moron delivery person lost the key but lied and said it was delivered. They then attempted to charge her for like a day-rate of "usage" on the lock box because she hadn't got the package yet.

eventually they relented after she put in an easy 5-6 hours of work across the entire month.

she immediately returned the parcel lmfao.

its extremely common for these drivers to lie in the most fantastical of ways. I can't even hate on them for it, they're being squeezed too. They get paid piecework, no benefits, have to piss and shit in bottles and bags in the back of the van, etc.

As a former Amazon delivery driver, we don't have the time or any incentive to care about hiding packages. We have to deliver 250-300+ packages a day, and we have to get it done fast or our boss will cut our hours.

Is there something like a lockbox that you can use? Ask them to close it and only you have the key?

When I ordered Death Stranding when it went to sale price the first time, I chose to have it delivered to to Amazon locker. Punched in the code to open the locker in the 7-11 and the game was not there at all...contacted support and the rep I was speaking with was able to process a refund.
