Yeah. A few I know for sure they don't, and very many more that I'd be amazed to learn they did. I know a lot of Amish people and homeschooled kids

One of my aunt's doesn't. Neither do her kids. She's a religious nut and her son is a preacher at a very small church (almost like a cult, really).

She also doesn't believe in climate change, saying God wouldn't allow that to happen. When I pointed out that God destroyed the world with a flood she got really quiet. I also told her to reread Genesis where God tells Adam and Eve to take care of the earth. Got crickets on that one too.

Disclaimer, I don't believe in the bible.

Sort of. She's very intelligent but raised in a strict religious community in the middle east.

I was talking to her about how different breeds of dogs exist and that sort of made things click. I also told her evolution isn't a theory created to disprove the existence of God. Who knows where she'll end up in the long run.

Believing the bible is true or gods exist is an example of magical thinking (you think simply believing something makes it true or possible) and by lost cause I meant what I said. There's no real outside force that'll make you change your mind until you realize it for yourself. Good luck :)

Magical thinking, or superstitious thinking,[1] is the belief that unrelated events are causally connected despite the absence of any plausible causal link between them, particularly as a result of supernatural effects.

That's the bible to a T!

No evidence anything in it happened for one. The inconsistencies within it. No evidence that there are any deities, including the Christian God. There are some decent things in the book but coupled with all of the incest, rape, murder in the name of God? No thanks, not interested.

One of my best friends growing up was a fundie, but we became friends from arguing. She was genuinely good natured, always trying to get around the whole "gay=sin" thing and never being hateful of that sort of thing.

Things got real weird and we drifted apart, probably for the best.

So many times that I have tried to fix or build something, and it would have been so much easier with one or two more hands.

That sounds nice. It felt crappy (and low key still does) to be best friends with a person, and yet have certain things you simply cant talk to them about. It feels like a contradiction.
