The battle system was a blast, fun character who played differently, the story was meh but coming off of SO3's story it wasn't much worse/better. My biggest complaint is that the post game, while not terrible, wasn't great either. Honestly the only single thing I liked more about SO3 in comparison was it's post-game content. Gameplay in SO4 is pretty fun. (Its one of the rare action jrpgs where the main character is a bit weaker compared to most of the cast though.
