I'm researching the candidates and what's being voted on tomorrow in Missouri and all this time I thought every state would have the opportunity to vote on the abortion bans. I was wrong. So even the Republicans that are for abortion don't have a say in the matter either. So besides recreational marijuana, all that matters tomorrow is voting all Democrat and researching who these judges are that are up for reelection. I'm still voting all Democrat to do my part, but I know a majority red state is fucked.

Missouri was going to have an abortion ballot initiative, but every state that had them voted against abortion laws, including super red states. As a result, your horrible, evil, piece of shit state government took it off.

Getting something on the ballot can be long and hard. Some states just couldn't get the signatures in time once the court decision was handed down.

States should have been prepared for it and should have been more proactive though.

Again, Missouri did prepare for it. They had it ready to go. But Republican's control that state, saw that it went poorly in Kentucky and other red states, so they took it off. Because they're worthless, evil trash

Does the MO state legislature get final yay/nay on ballot measures? Or is there a override possible?

Also while it may not be something you're directly voting on anyone that gets elected has the right to try to get laws passed. They will possibly try to pass more laws against them. So pro-abortion people would say not to vote Republicans.

There's a long history of the legislature going "lol, nope" over ballot measures that actually passed, which is why the weed vote went in as a constitutional amendment.
