Man, I don't care about the performance issues. I'm fine with that. Its not killing my vibe at all. I just finished the introduction with teh school and they gave you three different goals and all three sound really cool. There's stuff to do in the school as well and this is the first Pokemon game where its not just finishing off gyms. I know there's always been a Team but it was usually required stuff to do when trying to access a gym. Now it feels like a full on side questline.

I'm curious on how the Titans will work too. Makes me think of mini bosses.

I'd get Violet if it didn't look completely half finished and riddled with glitches and performance issues.

Maybe I'll give it a month to see if it gets patched, but knowing GameFreak this is probably all we're getting.

Legends is so, so different from the mainline games both structurally and mechanically that it really can't be treated like one, even if they claim it to be. About the only thing that makes it "mainline" is the fact that the stuff caught in it actually can be transferred to Home and to one of the other games, but by that logic, we'd also have to consider Pokemon GO a mainline game too.

Yeah, underneath all the performance issues and lack of QoL improvements with the UI, there is a semblance of a great game. It's a shame that Game Freak is not able to fully realize it because of their incompetent programming combined with the little time they have to make the games.

Idc what they say, Arceus, Go, and Let's Go aren't mainline.

Gen 7 is SM and USUM. Gen 8 is SwSh and BDSP. And Gen 9 is SV.

They literally are mainline. The core mechanics are centered around capturing, trading, and battling. They are compatible with Home, and some pokemon are exclusive to these games.

I just wish they could have done any kind of basic team/level scaling. Have four different sets of levels based on having 0-2 badges, 3-5 badges, 6-7 badges, and 8 badges.

Nah, it's just Game Freak's shoddy programming as usual.

Other Switch games like BotW or Xenoblade, or even Skyrim, Witcher 3, or Doom don't have the issues that ScVi are having, at least not to the extent that ScVi is experiencing.

We said mainline, not core.

I listed RBY and GSC (and the accompanying games down the gens, not sure why that's confusing you) as the main line of Pokemon games, as in part of the main storyline/collection.

It's got just as much legitimacy as your definition, and you still don't understand why I'm bringing it up.

Actually, they also have the creator of the games support which is far more than you have. When TPC says Arceus and Go and the like are mainline games, well, I am inclined to believe them and not a random message board user's feeling on the matter.
