Because I'm kinda stumped atm.

Also, I should probably get a new laptop already.

I avoid black Friday, it's not worth the madness or time away from the family since it started moving into Thanksgiving. I hated working retail, glad to be out of that shit.

Do it all digital. Best Buy has their Black Friday going on right now online and they had some decent deal. GameStop as well.

Basically I hope I see a headline or someone talking about something good lol aside from just looking at places like Amazon, Target, etc.

Like, when I went on Google the other day, I saw the Cowabunga Collection advertised for $20 new at GameStop, and it wasnt that low anywhere else. I so rarely look at GameStop that I wouldve never even known.

Step 1: Open SteamDB
Step 2: Use it to screen my wishlist for anything that's got a discount that beats or ties its previous best
Step 3: Probably still not buy it because my backlog is too big, but sometimes buy it

That's about it. If there's something I particularly need, I'll check the stores where I'd usually get it around Black Friday to see if I can get it cheaper, but by and large I don't see a lot of point trying to hunt down the best possible deals and competing with other people to take advantage of them.

Nothing. Because if I would only buy an item if it was on sale, then I don't need it.

Conversely, if you're going to buy an item anyway and you know it's going to go on sale at some point, you might as well save the money.

If I was going to buy something means I want, or most likely need it now.

What if the person didn't have the money at the time for a new release but can now afford the Black Friday deal?

So far I just bought a pair of Switch games (the Capcom fighting collection and the Cowabunga Collection) for $25 each. Probably should just buy them on Steam, but... idk.

Granted, I'm also not sure when I'll actually play them, but I want to make more of an effort.

I'm not sure if that was an intentionally stupid remark or an unintentionally stupid remark, although it was a stupid remark all the same. If you have the choice of paying more for something vs less -- when everything else is equal -- what benefit is there to the paying more?

And most things people buy on Black Friday, etc, aren't what anybody needs. They're just wants. And most things are zero urgency. A lot of games I pick up generally aren't even played within the same year (and it's the same for a lot of entertainment).
