Playing Ultra Sun for the first time. This is the first Pokemon game I've played Since Pokemon X. Near the end of the game, I get to where you can catch Necrozma. As soon as the battle starts, I decide to throw a quick ball just for shits and giggles. And it catches him.....

First try, no battle, just one toss and its over. Wow. Wish I hadn't wasted so many of these quick balls on wild low level pokemon. Could use them for other legendaries.

Necrozma has the highest possible catch rate. Starting in gen 7 they made it so the story catches all have very high catch rates, so not lucky at all. This is completely normal and expected as the catch rate with that setup is literally 100%.

Well damn, I thought I had gotten incredibly lucky.

Yeah some legendaries are just catchable no matter what. I caught a shiny Mimikyu in a Beast Ball several months ago. Now THAT is a lucky catch.

Quick Ball is always worth a shot tbh. It's a 5x multiplier. That's equivalent to an Ultra Ball at 25% HP with no statuses. But yeah, it's mostly being a story legendary.

Took me close to 40 ultra balls last night to catch the Tapu that looks like a pig. The other 3 Tapu only took about 10 ultra balls to catch.

Those Tapus were difficult to catch. I'd rather go Mimikyu hunting than catch them again.

I like to use Premier balls for legendaries Haha. But quick balls are usually pretty good. I used quick balls for most Pokmon is Pearl. and honestly, they are pretty good in Scarlet, as well

Finally caught Mewtwo. Took me about 4 hours of worm hole searching. Used the master ball on it.

Gotta catch him with a premier ball. Haha. Thats what I did
