Armored Core 4/FA at a buttery smooth 60FPS feels amazing

Though there's still some occasional texture bugs and crashing

I keep trying to push this, Sonic '06 is a much more tolerable experience on an emulator. There's some other games, too, which are improved overall with some minor mods, despite some minor graphical issues.

If only they did a modernized "Die Shrink" of the PS3 SoC.

The smallest die shrink the PS3 CPU & GPU SoC ever got was from:
90 nm -> 65 nm -> 45nm -> 40nm -> 28 nm.

Imagine if they used Samsung 8nm + Chiplet technology and embedded everything into one large SoC.

That means ALL of the 256 MB of Main System RAM, 256 MB of VRAM.

Everything could be compacted down to one large SoC and have everything super fast, low latency, and power efficient to each other.

No need for emulation when you can have the real thing, enhanced, in a updated PS3 SuperSlim.

Maaaan I really need a new Armored Core

Playing all of them again with proper resolution and framerate has been a blast

Wonder if V and Verdict Day will be any good now... I remember hating them more than I hate myself. No flight sucks

I remember them saying that PS3 emulation would never be truly possible

Here we are now like 16 years later

You can't fix the story, I know no one plays Sonic for the story but apparently they thought Sonic '06 needed a story with real life looking people. Also can you stumble around town still and interact with NPCs awkwardly who never stop moving their hands or their mouths.

I'd rather just play Sonic Forces or the one you can create your own Sanic than '06 even if ppl did it for ironic reasons or hits. Back to the topic at hand a PS3 emulator is interesting. That's gotta be a strong PC depending how much it emulates.

This was dumb but wasn't the reason the game sucked. Every level was basically a fall through the ground coin flip.

Can I assume it takes a powerful PC? I would like to play RFoM, but all I have is a fairly old laptop. It does run Mario Sunshine on Dolphin really well.

PS3 emulation doesn't care much about the GPU. Less than 6 core CPUs might not be the best but something cheap like a i5-12400 is more than good enough
