This story is true.
My bestamor, grandmother in Norwegian, had the early stages of dementia, so the family decided that I , a high school junior, would be fit to accompany her only on her last trip to Norway. The flight to the Europe left me exhausted as I wasn't able to sleep, so I was a bit anxious in Amsterdam for the connecting flight. Somehow I got confused about which line to go through, I misinterpreted the departures and arrivals, as I was thinking about it in reverse. I ran through the airport really fast when I realized my mistake, and left my bestamor trailing behind at the busiest airport in Europe. I wasn't going to make it in time.
