Like, society decided it needed someone to be a celebrity, so society basically puts some random person in that spot in order to fill it? Every time you think about it, you're like "huh, why is this person a celebrity anyways" and can't really think of a good reason as to why?

A lot get work simply because they accept lower paychecks than real actors, so they simply show up on screen more and get famous for being famous, not for being particularly good.
