Saw this guy all through the summer. He clearly had some sort of mental illness, he was always dragging a big stick or tree branch or something of that nature and would swing it behind him randomly and yell like he was trying to ward something off.

Not somebody I would approach but he never caused any issues. Now that winter is here though, his new thing is to unplug everybody's car from the headbolts. It is -25 outside, so you have to plug it back in and wait half a fucking hour or risk your engine block cracking if you don't notice it.

Can't let that shit slide. Not sure what they can really do long term to prevent him from doing this shit though.

Sorry, I think you misunderstood. Everybody up here has an engine block heater, oil pan heater, and trickle charger installed in their vehicles due to the cold. They have an extension cord coming out of the grille or through the bumper that plugs into an outlet. He is unplugging the extension cords.

It is morbid af but we call them hobocicles.

I remember reading the local police reports and one time, there was one that said something like "<name>, whose address is listed as the streets of <this city> was questioned in the <local PD> parking lot after he was caught knocking over police bicycles. When asked why he was doing this, he replied that it was because he does not like the police." but they didn't arrest or charge him.

Juneau is one of the most beautiful places you can live in the world. The southeast panhandle in general is pretty af. I grew up on PoW Island and Ketchikan.

Cost of living in Juneau is crazy though. But it makes sense, there is no road to it, plane or boat is the only way in or out.

I've wondered this myself. A lot of them don't survive, I imagine the ones that do are hold up in a shelter somewhere though. The ones that are able probably migrate down to Anchorage.
