This is going to be incredibly cringe, but it's cool that they made it.

Kinda funny they did make an 80's show but it went away so fast no one noticed really.

Looks neat. Ill definitely check it out. The kids will probably be cringe, but were all gonna be watching for Red and Kitty anyway, and the cameos from the OG cast.

It's a shame.
Geoff Pierson is a great, underrated actor.
At the time, it felt like the show was "too soon", I think.

So, I love Red Foreman, but shouldn't the main parental figures be like... Eric and Donna or whoever?

I noticed =(

iirc, it was completely unrelated anyway, which was the kiss of death.

Trailer should have focused more on the kids. And the kids didn't say anything funny in the trailer. All of it was focused on Red

Yea, the fun part of the original show was how Red interacted with each of the kids, because it was always different and funny for each one. This trailer was basically "Red hates everyone! HAHAHA!!!"

They couldnt get Topher Grace who was ungrateful to the show that made him a star.

Is there even a point to shows like this when the viewer knows not all of the living original main cast members will return?

It looks like he does appear on the show as a guest role, he just is not a constant presence. But yeah, unless Topher has basically retired from acting him turning down a potential main role is beyond me. It's not like he is getting a ton of other work or something, crap the most successful former cast member was Ashton Kutcher and even he hasn't done a ton lately.

Im surprised how diversed the cast is. I think just 2 of the 6 kids are actually white. Is this fair representation for todays demographics? I remember growing up whites were like 70% of the american population so youd get a show like this and have one maybe 2 minorities in. Now its whites are around 50% at best?

I hope they don't make Red as much of a bigot as he was in the original. Dude hated anything that wasn't hyper masculine, and was racist to Fez all the time, calling him names and saying he floated into America on a door.

I loved that. I think he hated fez on the outside but deep down loved him. It was a reflection of the times. I mean before the 70s you had the 60s so clearly red was just acting like the average white man did in that era.

He accepted him as family despite Fez's sham marriage to his Laurie.

...wtf? Topher literally has a network TV show atm. Maybe I can understand you not hearing about it since it's only on its third season and it's in a heavily advertised prime-time slot, but you could've looked up what he's been doing.

As for Kutcher, apparently he's going to be on That 90's Show. However, he's loaded and has gradually slowed down from acting, presumably by choice because he was still making a fortune.

No, they tend to overrepresent minorities on a lot of (if not most) shows nowadays. It's been a pretty consistent thing for a while, probably an overcorrection from when representing the actual number meant it was a rarity.
