i got the anniversary edition for ps5 cuz it was on sale and i never beat the game years ago

i wanna be able to steamroll this shit, just fuckin own everyone, not sneak around those big ass dwarven dungeons for 4 hours. i wanna KILL. i've always been geared more towards stealth but i wanna be more of a jack of all trades.

right now ive been making sure im balanced by getting my 5 trainer boosts each level at something i never really use (illusion, smithing, alteration, pickpocketing, etc) while stuff i typically use (one handed, sneak, light armor, archery) is doing fine. i'm also using UESP to find skill books - i got a trophy for reading 50 of them already and i'm up to like level 21.

still havent found the horn of jurgen windcaller or w/e and have barely made a dent in any of the four major guilds, doing like 0-3 missions for them fyi. if you guys know any cool missions where i get cool shit to help me become the master of ownage...

anniversary edition comes w/ dragonborn, dawnguard, and various mods btw

anyway how do i became an awesome enchanter and get super strong and learn spells and just mow people down. need to do this so i can beat the game and also tackle a bunch of podcasts to listen to while playing

maybe you'll listen to me:

-dont wear armor. not even boots. fuck all that shit. robes are okay.
-lightning on one hand, healing on the other
-gonna need like 1 sword also for when your mp runs out

not wearing armor makes you actually faster so you move around faster and its more fun. you have healing magic, use that shit.

that's pretty much it. great fun.

Stealth archery is great. You can visit Fort Dawnguard as early as possible (if you find its entrance manually) to get a crossbow and, IIRC, start the process of making better and better bows. The best kind, at least on consoles, have ignore 50% armor, plus you can give them nasty enchantments like paralysis. If you need funding, raid the merchant chests that are clipping through the ground in certain areas, like the road leading into Solitude. There are a few others, but I forget where.

Couple that with power-levelling conjuration using bound stuff you cast and sheathe, you can have a lot of fun. The companion from Solstheim is a trainer in conjuration, so you can just give him cash, then take it back afterward. You can't reach max conjuration using this method, though, I think.

Stealth archer, alchemy/enchanting loop

To me, stealth archer is the only way to play Skyrim because the melee combat is god awful... NO weight at all behind melee attacks

yeah doing stealth archer in my previous plays it takes so god damn long to get through dungeons crawling with falmer and dwarven robot things

obviously it is OP but its also incredibly time consuming

anyway i've read about the enchanting loop so i guess i can try that. i literally never enchanted anything in the previous 100 hours or w/e i put into prior plays... think this is the third or fourth time i've started the game lol. never did any smithing either and only ever used healing and destruction magic. never did any soul gem stuff either although i collect the hell out of those things just in case

i'm an imperial btw cuz i like getting more gold. i also already have the crossbow but aint used it yet. i never see bolts as loot anywhere and i aint buying no stinkin ammo

i get my ass stomped constantly so this is wrong

im terrible at video games dude. the bandit marauders crush my skull in with a warhammer constantly so im spamming healing potions like heck. or the master vampires turn me into a vampire which is annoying.

if you arent wearing armor you're selling it all and dont even have to look at it. the only thing i wore were robes and casting gloves that you eventually get.

there are a bazillion badass 1h swords, so you just use those in your hand also.

Stick to heavy armor.

Spam muffle everywhere you go while outside combat to get easy level ups (and prestige illusion to redo it infinitely).

Using magic of any kind, basically. Also stealth is broken that's why you'll get those suggestions. If you want to mix it up from stealth archer, try stealth summoner.

2 hours is more than 1.

50 hours is more than 1.

1000 hours is more than 1.

With conjuration you can just get summons to play the game for you. I've never done the enchanting loop.

Like another poster said, it's one of the easiest RPG's ever.

For no sneaking I recommend Illusion magic + enrage / fear spells in particular.

Vampires get a bonus so go vampire as well.

Depends on the difficulty.

Playing on legendary means an arrow can kill you at level 20 when youre in robes.

I have a follower, Barbus, and my atronach. Barbus is an unkillable tank, BTW.

Thats my favorite play style; platoon leader. Use fury, calm, fear and courage to help control the battlefield along with smart atronach placement.

Just remember when it comes to illusion magic you really have to use it a lot to keep up with the perks because without the perks they will stop working. As long as you're using it at least once every combat it should be enough but spamming it doesn't hurt either.

Only the physical casting of the spell does anything iirc. Also lots of enemies have "realistic detection" meaning if the target is blind or has good scent then invisibility doesn't work.
