It's on Netflix now and I was supposed to watch it on my birthday in July before it got delayed. Lots of fun moments, humor and action. Only disappointing things were how underwhelming Bad Bunny and The White Death were

I watched it and liked it but had to use the bathroom for part of it. Can you answer this spoiler question?

How did Tangerine die and Yuichi live? I know Tangerine confronted Prince and found the Diesel sticker on her back. But when I left and got back, Lemon was alive talking to Ladybug about how he shot Tangerine. And Yuichi was there too depsite getting in the chest. What happened there?

After discovering the diesel sticker, Ladybug comes through the door behind Tangerine, Prince does her damsel in distress thing and so Ladybug wrestles with Tangerine. Tangerine ends up shooting himself in the neck during the struggle. Lemon survived because he was wearing a bulletproof vest when Prince shot him multiple times.

Yuichi Idk lol

Which kinda didn't make sense, given Lemon specifically said that he wasn't wearing a vest earlier lol

I just interpreted that as a flex

I really enjoyed it. I like how everything came together. That finale (the whole collision and derailing and everything during that portion of the movie) was so absurdly over the top, but fitting for the tone. I really enjoyed the underlying themes too. I also knew that the sketchy costume character was gonna be someone important, like from the first time the character was shown, even before she tried to get the briefcase. So I called that. I also called that the conductor guy was going to be a more important character too and I was wrong about that unfortunately.

Yeah I liked that too and I don't even know a damn thing about that so the references were all lost on me but his thing about relating people to various characters and making personality comparisons and that whole "I'm an expert at reading people because of my affinity for Thomas the train" thing was very compelling and entertaining.

Yeah I literally chuckled and was said "Why the fuck is Channing Tatum in this?" out loud. Not that he would have any reason not to be in it. I just had that thought in the moment.

Was it directed by the same person who did Deadpool? Because the description on Netflix references it. It would also make a ton of sense because Brad Pitt had an uncredited cameo in Deadpool 2 while Ryan Reynolds had one in Bullet Train, so that would make for a fun double easter egg

It was probably filmed at the same time as The Lost City, given Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum both star in it, and Brad Pitt makes a cameo.

Yep, that's David Leitch. He also directed John Wick 1, and he was Brad Pitt's stunt double in Fight Club.

Exact same thing happened to me. Also... "holy shit lol, that's Ryan Reynolds", as well as "LMAO how did Sandra Bullock end up in this movie".

I had the same response to the first one. I wasn't so surprised by the 2nd though because she was clearly a very important character story-wise and while I didn't recognize the voice outright, I knew we would see the character on screen eventually so I was expecting someone very recognizable.

Fair. I also forgot about the train conductor, when I was like "shit, that's Hiro from Heroes!"

It was weird, but watchable.

Brad Pitt has over a dozen of those under his belt within his long career.
Props for actors like him and Tom Cruise still being able to pull this stuff off at their age.

Yuichi Idk lol

Yuichi lived cause it was his destiny. That's all. Everyone should have been horrifically killed in the train wreck but I don't think even a single person died in it.

I'm guessing it's because Channing Tatum, Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt all starred in The Lost City earlier this year.

And as for Ryan Reynolds I think it's because Brad Pitt was in Deadpool 2 for a cameo.

I was pleasantly surprised to! The tone and dialogue felt a lot like Lucky Number Slevin...

I liked how things tied together at the end, thought I thought they'd explain why Ryan Reynold's character killed The White Death's wife (and if he arranged the arrest/incaraceration of the son)

Ladybug and Carver clearly work for the same organization, so someone probably just put a hit out on the White Death.
