Very senior manager, someone from the board of directors, a person like that. How did it go? Have a nice little chat? Polite but strained? Screamed abuse at them?

Yes I met the owner because he works where I work directly

I work with the owner and vice president(s) regularly. (once a week if not daily)

I was in a leadership course at the district office and some lady walked in and was asking about what we were doing and learning. She asked "does anyone have any questions for me?" And I said "Uh, who are you?" And the HR people looked at each other

She said "Good question. My names Debyn, I'm the regional VP."

So it was everyone who works in North and South Carolina's boss.

back when I worked for a billion dollar company I met the president and VP once

at my current job(family owned) the owner is my direct supervisor

Ya. Our structure is more wide than tall. Theres only 4 or 5 people above my management before you hit the top.

Met the CEO briefly, exchanged some words while walking down the hall but that was it. This is a company with around 9k employees.

I talked to the CEO on a number of occasions a couple of jobs ago, prior to the GTT merger
I talked to the CEO on a few occasions at my last job. He was at the office pretty often, and I was often all over the office working on some network issue or trouble ticket.

I worked at a Canadian toy store chain and the CEO came to our store specifically because we were doing very well during the pandemic.

She was actually super nice but very high energy despite it being 7am.

I see the owner/CEO most weeks. Been out for a drink with him a few times as well.

The place I worked at when I was 19 had the owner of the company try and visit each store once a year. He came to see us out of the blue one day. There were 3 people working there including me and he didnt even acknowledge or look at me once the whole time he was there.
I lost what little bit of respect I had for him that day.

I bet the VP once when she came in to ask questions about how the company can improve as a whole. I said two words: "Pay More". She was honest and said it's out of the question. Something around the lines of "labor costs are already extremely high".

My company has less that 1000 people, so the CEO still spends time meeting with the peasants at company events and such.

The company I work for has 12 employees so yes.

Yup, met the highest and owner of the company I'm working at, and is the 3rd richest man in germany, had a very short chat during one of the company fests

Nothing worse then corporate dudes showing up on weekends or holidays and wasting a shitload of time.

Not in my current job, but i had lunch with the owner of a retail chain i worked at in my early 20s. They had opened a new location and travelled a bunch of employees out to help the new staff on opening day. I had lunch with him and chatted for a bit.

I regularly collaborate with my VP and EVP, and since my role is cross functional, even the VP and EVPs of other functions.

Not much contact with the CEO though. We works out of another office and even when he visits, his people skills are...questionable. The COO is very approachable though.

I'm the CEO and am good friends with the chairperson of the board.

i've only really worked for small/midsize businesses where everyone basically knows everyone since leaving college, so i've been pretty well acquainted with all the ceos

One of my final round interviews at one company several moons ago had the CEO shadow.

The owner and CEO comes around sometimes.

The owner is more hands on because he came up with the company through his family.

Hell he knows the tools and even sometimes builds stuff for his own house.

The CEO is obviously the book smart type guy and just wonders around checking things out.

He's been hanging around because they put in new bays and is about to fix up parking lot.
