The problem was they said this on video whole at work. Had they posted this off the clock on their own time then they probably wouldn't have been let go.

People really need to learn not to post everything all the time.

This is basic Nurse 101, don't bitch about the patients in hearing of the public. Was one of the first things I was taught at least.

The problem with videos like this is that it makes people feel self-conscious about going to the doctor, and the result is that people either dont seek medical care or they dont tell doctors and nurses everything they should

Ya...hospital etiquette isn't exactly well known, especially with white coat anxiety and people just in general trying to stay outta the place...

It's interesting to hear tho, just not the right format.

some of this shit was just judgmental and cold tho

-yea, the "dad" might want a paternity test... how about some sympathy that other peoples' lives might be fucked up
-yea, someone's trying to go without pain meds giving birth. im sure they are thinking clearly.
-o no, they asked you politely for a thing instead of pushing the button and you not showing up, how horrible!

that said, I get that they are venting, but w/e im just done with this topic, sorry :P

I mean I am not surprised they made this video.

Working in healthcare is stressful. Especially when you have more responsibilities and higher risk of getting sued (like physicians).

The worst part is that no matter what you do, patients nowadays treat the hospital and healthcare in general, as a hotel and a commodity. IF you don't serve them sandwiches or a 5 star steak during their stay, they don't care what they are here for and give you a bad rating and complain to admins about their stay. The patients nowadays are very unrealistic. They expect a 90 year old demented guy with multiple comorbidities to be running marathon after they leave the hospital.

What a surprise, more people who sign up for a specific line of work and can't deal with people when that is 70-80% of what that field requires. If they don't like people, why get into healthcare?

I don't know about letting them go but maybe speak to them one on one and find out if this is really what they want to do.

a friend of mine was dating this nurse who told us during a dinner that nurses do talk about patients' penises . Like, if they have to prepare (shave) someone for surgery they will later comment on size and things like that to other nurses.

So post. Much gamefaqs. Wow.

That's natural tbh. I don't see anything wrong with that as long as they don't name or point out particular patients.

Nothing they said indicates they don't like people lol they're just venting, which is completely normal. Especially for professions that deal with the public.

Exactly. Just like with the nurses, the biggest issue is that the people who aren't supposed to hear that stuff end up hearing it
